What it is
Twincan is a tape deck that lives on two phones. You string the can to one person — a partner, a parent, your best friend — and from then on every note you record lands on their platter, and theirs on yours.
No accounts, no contacts scraping, no feed to perform for. Your notes travel through your own iCloud, end to end, seen by nobody but the person on the other end of the string.
How it works
One invite link strings your can to theirs. Two people, ever. Unstring it and the notes go with it.
A real platter you scrub, keys that press, a lamp that burns while the tape rolls. It feels like hardware because it behaves like hardware.
Notes play out loud until you lift the phone to your ear — then they whisper through the earpiece, like the tin-can telephone it's named for.
Notes transcribe on your device — never on a server — so you can skim her words while you hear her say them.
